An Offer You Can't Refuse: In Issue #18, Vader threatens to destroy the rebel base where Valance hid Cadeliah if Valance doesn't serve Vader in hunting down Crimson Dawn's moles.Valance reluctantly agrees to rejoin the Empire and serve Vader's agenda in order to keep the base housing Cadeliah safe, unaware that the base has since been destroyed after Crimson Dawn exposed its location.At the end of Issue #26, Cadeliah makes it clear that she's been indoctrinated by Crimson Dawn and is now choosing to stay with them, making everything T'onga's team went through to save her this.The series has crossed over with the main Star Wars comics, Doctor Aphra, and Darth Vader for the War of the Bounty Hunters crossover event. The series is a continuation to Han Solo: Imperial Cadet (where Valance was first reintroduced into canon) and Target Vader, and has a prequel comic "Two Sides to a Sortie" in the Empire Ascendant oneshot compilation. The comic focuses on Beilert Valance, a former Imperial officer turned bounty hunter. It is written by Ethan Sacks and illustrated by Paolo Villanelli. Valance knocks Dengar out with a single punch, sparing his life for unknown reasons.Star Wars: Bounty Hunters is a 2020 Star Wars Expanded Universe comic published by Marvel Comics. Valance tracks Dengar to Coruscant where Dengar is bragging about his exploits. Valance works out his own plan with Vader, and after giving Vader what he desires, Valance is able to escape. Valance had a chance to plant an EMP on Vader that would have destroyed his breathing mechanics but is stopped by Dengar who blasts him in the chest. Vader slaughters the majority of the crew when he finally catches up to the hunters. He informs the Dark Lord of the hunters' locations a number of times. Unfortunately for the bounty hunters, Dengar is working as a double agent for Darth Vader. Valance was not thrilled about working with Dengar this time either, as they had a previous partnership that had also gone south. They were put together on a large team of bounty hunters with the task of eliminating Darth Vader. Robbie Thompson and Marc Laming's Star Wars: Target Vader miniseries tells the story of a previous partnership between the two deadly bounty hunters.
